The CPS100 Series programmable AC and DC output power sources are versatile sources of power for development, test and production applications requiring single phase AC or DC output. Multi-unit Parallel, Series and 3-Phase Master/Slave mode provides higher power, voltage and 3-phase application support.

This series consists of 14 models from 600VA/W to 5000VA/W per unit. All models use digital signal processing (DSP) based power conversion technology for optimal performance and efficiency. These units are excellent source for 50, 60, 400 or 360 ~ 800 Hertz for export and aerospace product testing or testing of DC powered equipment.

OVERVIEW

The CPS100 Series programmable AC and DC output power sources are easy to use instruments which provide precisely controlled frequency and voltage conversion. On standard CPS100S models, the frequency can be adjusted from 15 to 1000 Hertz for applications such as the testing of military/avionics equipment or for the operation of 400 0r 800 Hertz electronics that are on board an aircraft or a military vessel. The adjustable frequency band in conjunction with the dual voltage ranges of 0-150 volt or 0-300 volt (or 320V below 200Hz on 2kVA to 5kVA models) as well as DC test capability provides full capabilities for testing and operating electronics deployed worldwide.

Setup and operation of the CPS100 Series is easy. The large color touch sensitive LCD display, menu soft keys and simple front panel controls allows users to vary voltage and frequency using a shuttle or by entering a value directly using the touch screen or decimal keypad (CPS120, CPS130, CPS140 & CPS150). On CPS106, CPS110 & CPS115 Models, values are entered using the touch screen pop-up keypad. The LCD displays readouts for frequency, voltage, current, peak current, crest factor, power, apparent power and power factor.

For demanding applications, the Enhanced version CPS100E Models extend output frequency to 1200Hz and add a range of special features like IEC 61000-4-11, IEC 61000-4-13, IEC 61000-4-14 and IEC 61000-4-28 power immunity testing.  Harmonics measurements and programmable output impedance are supported on enhanced models as well.

APPLICATIONS

AC and DC Test Power

The CPS100 Series Power Sources use state-of-the-art DSP technology to provide stable and accurate output, regardless of AC input line conditions. They can be programmed to supply a variety of AC, DC or a combination of AC and DC power conditions to the device under test and meter all output parameters.

Frequency/Voltage Conversion

The CPS100 Series is an excellent source of stable AC voltage over a frequency range of 15 to 1000 Hz (S version) or 15 to 1200 Hz (E version). Output voltages up to 300 or 320 Vac and 424.2 Vdc are available.

Export/Import Product Development and Test

With the ability to provide any single phase voltage and frequency combination found around the world, the CPS100 Series is a great choice for evaluating AC power input supplies for worldwide use.

DC Testing

The CPS100 Series includes a DC output mode that allows for development or testing of DC powered products up to 424.2 Vdc. Current and power limit programming is available in DC mode as well.

Avionics Power

Whenever 400Hz or 800Hz, 115Vac single phase is required to power up shipboard or airborne equipment, the CPS100 can do the job. With up to 43.5 A of current available (Model CPS150), most single phase input equipment can be powered up for repair or test purposes. For 3 phase loads, three CPS100 power sources equipped with the -AUX or -MSB option can be configured in a 3-Phase master/slave configuration.
