Adaptive Power Systems introduces FC300 Series AC Power Converters
New models cover wide range of AC or DC test applications.
Irvine, CA, Feb 1st, 2022 – Adaptive Power Systems Inc. (APS) is introducing two new, single phase AC power frequency converters development and testing of AC line powered products intended for export to countries with various voltage and frequency power grids. These new easy to use products allow testing product for a wide range of AC voltage and frequencies using a singleFC300 unit. Two models are available at power levels of 500VA and 1000VA.
Output voltage ranges are 155Vac and 310Vac with max current of 4.6Arms on the 500VA model or 9.2Arms on the 1000Va model. The use of a constant power V-I mode allows more current to be drawn at lower voltages to increase maximize available load current at 115Vac or 230Vac settings while still supporting high line product immunity testing to 125% of rating voltage. A user programmable RMS current limit function supports both voltage fold-back mode or output trip mode.
The output frequency range is 45Hz through 450 Hz which covers both commercial and industrial as well as avionics and defense products.
Both FC300 models use large LED 7-segment displays to shows settings and measurements in combination with simple up/down buttons to adjust voltage, current limit or frequency from the front panel. share an easy to use menu driven front panel user interface using a large color LCD screen. Settings can be entered using a decimal keypad or slewed by rotating the centrally located shuttle knob. A full complement of voltage, current and power measurements is supported as well as power factor, crest factor and peak current.
Both units are 17 inch wide bench top chassis or can be mounting in 2U (3.5”) of rack space.
