New three phase power sources cover wide range of DC and AC Load applications
Irvine, CA, June 8th, 2016 – Adaptive Power Systems Inc. (APS) is introducing two new, three phase AC or DC output power source models for AC and DC applications. These new products address a wide range of product development and test applications, ranging from Electric Vehicle Drive train development and test to battery development and forming as well as power supply production and quality testing. Model CFS330 offers 3000VA output capability and for higher power needs, the CFS360 is available with 6000VA output. Output voltage is 300Vrms Line to neutral and 520Vrms line to line in AC mode or 420Vdc in DC mode for both models.
A dual range voltage output allows support of continuous rated load currents of up to 52 Arms in single phase mode or 17.4 Arms in per phase at 115 VLN / 200VLL on the CFS360. Overcurrent conditions of up to 200% of rating can be supported for some period of time to ride through inrush current events.
Both models use the same intuitive front panel user interface that makes setting output voltage, frequency and current limit simple and convenient. The CFS330 (3kVA) models take either 200 to 240 Vac single phase input while the CFS360 (6kVA) models can be powered from either a 200 to 240V single phase or a three phase utility line. Output voltage is available at any desirable voltage and frequency combination up to 1000 Hz and 520 Vac L-L to power units under test. Simulated line drop-outs can be generated at specific phase angles to test for worst-case scenarios.
A special Go/No-Go test mode using user defined pass and fail limits for all output measurements is built-in so no user programming is required. A total of 50 memories with 9 limit sets each are provided for this mode of operation.
For DC testing, the CFS300 provides 200Vdc and 400Vdc voltage ranges for testing DC powered EUTs. The ability to have both AC and DC output greatly increases the flexibility and usefulness of the CFS300 series.
